CHAIRMAN
Mr Peter O'Dwyer, Hainault Capital
Peter is Managing Director of Hainault Capital and former CEO of Gensec and Sanlam’s operations in Ireland and Gensec Bank’s European operations. He also currently sits on the boards of two funds complexes established by Sanlam’s UK associate.

VICE CHAIRMAN
Mr Cormac Megannety, Amethyst Investments
Cormac is responsible for property investment, development and the ongoing management of the Amethyst Group property portfolio. Cormac spent 15 years in South Africa, initially with Richard Ellis (now CBRE) and later as development director with Stocks & Stocks, one of the biggest property development companies in the country. Cormac returned to Ireland in 1999 to take up an associate director post with Savills HOK before founding Eurocape Investments in Dublin, part of the Howard Holdings group. As CEO, Cormac was responsible for the successful development of the 1 million square feet Mandela Rhodes Place project in Cape Town as well as acquiring other investment properties for the group in the UK. Cormac is a Chartered Surveyor and holds a Bachelor of Science (Surv) degree from Trinity College, Dublin.

Mr Andrew O’Callaghan, PricewaterhouseCoopers
Andrew is Partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Ireland. Andrew established the PwC African Investment Centre in Dublin in 2006 and has a long-standing personal interest in South Africa having visited the country many times. The Centre, linking with the PwC office network in South Africa and the greater African continent, advises clients on doing business in Africa, primarily South Africa.

Mr Vincent Hibbert
Vincent Hibbert is a South African Chartered Accountant and has lived in Ireland since 2000. He is currently a Finance Manager with Anglo Irish Bank, having originally moved to Ireland while working for PricewaterhouseCoopers. He promotes cultural and charitable ties between South Africa and Ireland and sponsored a performance by top SA band, Freshlyground, in Dublin in 2007. He also takes an active interest in the developing economic and political environment in South Africa..

SECRETARIATE
Mr Tony Angelosante, The Wine Seller
Tony was a council member of ISABA for 3 years and currently holds the Secretariat position. He is a South African, living in Ireland for the last 8 years, and currently runs his own wine import and distribution business. His business focus is predominantly South African wines from boutique wine estates where quality (not quantity) comes first. Tony achieved a distinction in the Wine & Spirit Education Trust Advanced Certificate in 2003, the highest marks by any candidate in the UK and Ireland for that year.
Prior to the wine business, Tony worked as a Project Manager for IT and Business Projects in South Africa, America and Ireland. He holds an IT degree from Cambridge University as well as a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from University of Natal, Pietermaritzburg. Tony is a professional member of the Computer Society of South Africa, Survive! The Business Continuity Group, as well as the Project Management Institute of South Africa.

Mr Karl Louwrens, International Airline Marketing Limited
Karl is the Director of Marketing and Business Development at International Airline Marketing Limited (IAM), Ireland's largest air-cargo sales operation and the lead division in a group of small companies involved in cargo sales, Ireland/UK/EU trucking and nationwide handling sheds. Collectively these companies now control c.20% of Ireland's air-cargo exports. In addition to his role on the executive management team of the IAM Group, Karl also represents IAM's interests in other business ventures. This includes consultancy services to a UK based transport/installations specialist and to Ububele Holdings, an agri-food publicly listed company based in South Africa. Prior to joining the IAM Group in 2002, Karl held a number of senior positions in media and publishing and was part of the original executive team behind the launch of national newspapers, The Title and Ireland on Sunday. Karl is a business studies and Marketing Institute of Ireland graduate and he has held numerous positions in national event and business committees. Karl rejoined ISABA Council in 2008, having formally been a committee member from 1994-2002. He lived in South Africa into his early teens and still has many family links there. |

Mr Bill Ledwidge, BDO Simpson Xavier,
Bill Ledwidge is a Partner in BDO Simpson Xavier. He is a Chartered Accountant and a member of the Institute of Taxation in Ireland. Within BDO Simpson Xavier he heads up the Real Estate investment business, which establishes and manages property investment funds and syndicates, in Ireland and overseas.BDO Simpson Xavier manages a South African real estate investment fund – The Springbok Fund. This fund, financed by Irish investors, has invested the Rand ZAR700m (approx €70m) in commercial property in South Africa. Previously BDO provided the equity financing for the successful Mandela Rhodes Place mixed use development in Cape Town.

Ms Karen Hanlon, Investec
Karen Hanlon, born in Dublin, graduated in 1990 from UCD with a Bachelor of Commerce. She then spent 11 years working for IIB Bank in their Treasury, Dealing Room. Subsequently Karen moved to Anglo Irish Bank in Jan 2003, initially 3 yrs in Wealth Management and last two back in Treasury. Last November, Karen joined Investec on their Treasury desk with full responsibility for developing new business. Karen is a keen golfer and has a great interest in sport in general. She is also a big fan of cooking!
